Our Christmas Tree

We always put our tree up the day after Thanksgiving. I am on of those people who would have my tree up before Thanksgiving but we host about 15-20 people at our house for dinner and there just isn't room. So as soon as we got up the next day, the tree was up. We waited until after dinner to decorate it. The girls are really excited about Christmas this year. Every year it becomes much more fun for them. We made some chocolate chip cookies and the out most of the ornaments on. We had to keep the bottom part of the tree empty so that a certain little boy didn't steal all the ornaments. Grayson has taken a couple off but other than that, he hasn't messed with the tree.

12 Months::1 YEAR!

Well Grayson, we are here. 12 months old. In some ways I can't believe it, but in other ways it feels as though you have been a part of our family forever. I have really enjoyed taking your monthly pictures and writing down the new things you have done every month. You are growing so fast and learning so many new things that sometimes its hard to keep up. Here is what you've been up to during your last month of being a "baby"...

-you are wearing 12-18 month clothes, size 4 diapers, and size 3 shoes

-you are taking 2 naps a day and sleeping 12+ hours at night

-you are a full time walker! You took your first steps at 10 months old and there was no stopping you. Y ou love being able to somewhat keep up with your sisters

-you don't talk very much but you still make many sounds

-you LOVE bath tub. We recently moved you out of your ducky tub and into the big bath tub. You love to move your legs back and forth to splash the water and you also love to lay on your belly and play.

-we just transitioned you over to whole milk. NO MORE FORMULA! After 3 years of buying formula, I nearly jumped up and down in Target when I bought the last one!

-you still love your mama! I LOVE that you have always been a mamas boy. I hope it stays that way.

-you love to play with balls. you throw them and roll them everywhere

-you are finally putting yourself to sleep. For the longest time I would have to pat your back and little bit and wait for you to close your eyes but now we can just lay you down and leave the room.

-you have 4 almost 5 teeth. your 5th tooth has broken through but hasn't made its way down quite yet

-you love your paci and also burp cloths. You like to hold them when you sit with me and you even carry it around sometimes

-you are the sweetest boy ever and everyone always comments on how handsome you are!

-we love you to the moon and back!

G's Mustache Bash

Since Grayson was about 2 months old I had the theme of his party picked out. I knew I wanted to have a mustache bash. I just think its the cutest! I'm sure next year will be all dump trucks and stuff.  I made everything for his party myself except for the smash cake. I just love how everything turned out. Enjoy some pictures from G's first birthday party.

Sunday

Most every Sunday we go to my mom and dads house to visit and play. This past Sunday Grayson wasn't feeling too great so we decided to just hang out at home. It was such a beautiful day so we were able to get outside and play a little while. G even sat outside for a few minutes. I'm sure we won't have too many nice days left so I'm glad we were able to enjoy this one.

G::11 Months!

(Insert big ugly tears here!)

Only one more month until my baby turns 1! I don't know whether to be sad, happy, excited, etc. He is growing up so quickly and it's been so much fun watching him learn so many new things. I am in full birthday party planning mode and I can't wait to celebrate him in a few short weeks!
Here is what G has been up to this past month...

-wearing mostly 12-18 month clothes and size 4 diapers

-taking 2-3 naps a day and sleeping from 7pm-7am

-loves his paci and really loves to hold his burp cloths

-still loves Mickey Mouse and Little Einsteins

-walking!!! well, sort of. He can take many steps now and he prefers to walk wherever he goes. He can take many steps by himself. He can even walk, stop, turn around, and then walk back. I think with a couple of weeks he will be walking everywhere!

-loves to play with balls and is really good at throwing them

-he is still a mamas boy

-takes 3 bottles of formula a day and will start transitioning to regular milk in a couple of weeks

-he is into everything! i don't know if it's the boy in him or not, but he seriously finds a way to get into everything.

-makes the d, m, b, and n sound

-has 4 teeth

-he is the sweetest little boy! his smile lights up his face and its so contagious.

Fall

Fall is definitely here and the weather that comes with it. We have finally hit cold temps and I love it! The leaves are still beautiful and it makes me think about all of the holidays coming up. I'm so excited to spend thanksgiving and Christmas with my family. We've had an in eventful week or so.
Last Friday I took Grayson for a haircut. Haley(a girl I went to school with) cuts it and does great with him. Grayson sits very still and let's her do what she needs to do. It seems like he is getting a haircut about every month or so.

After G's haircut we went to visit Miss Avery. She is a sweet little thing and Emma adores her.

Grayson's been eating a snack out of a snack cup for a month or two and he does pretty good with it but sometimes gets his hand stuck and just crawls around with the snack cup on his hand. Crazy kid.
We also apparently had pirates in our kitchen the other day and Emma was watching them through her telescope.

Yesterday I took the girls to the dentist. I absolutely LOVE the dentist office they go to. It's just for kids and they have so much for them to do. They have coloring, train tables, big screens playing Disney movies, princess dolls for them to hold, Nintendo DS's at every chair! And the staff is so good with them. They both did great and are cavity free!

We told the girls if they did good at the dentist then we would take them to the pumpkin patch when Josh got home. Well sometime between the time I got home from the dentist and when we got to the pumpkin patch the weather turned frigid and windy. We got to stay at the pumpkin patch long enough to quickly grab two pumpkins!

We've been in the go so much lately so today we are spending the day in our pj's.
