Summer is Here!!

Summer is finally here and the pool is open. This weekend was the first time ever that Emma has gotten into the big pool. She really loved it. She likes floating around and kicking her feet. The baby pool is also on the deck beside the big pool so she played in it a lot yesterday with my mom. By the end of the day, Emma was absolutely exhausted.hanging out at the pool after she got done swimmingeating a vanilla wafer...yumm

New Favorite Thing

Emma has recently found the door stopper. She loves to pull on it and let it go so that it makes that really annoying sound. This is the only door stopper she has found so far but I'm sure before too long she will figure out that they are all over the house.

9 Months Old!

WOW!!! I can't believe how fast this past month flew by. It was a big month for Emma because she started crawling! She is now mobile and can go wherever she wants to go. [which is usually towards all the things that she can't have] She is pulling up on everything and walking around all the furniture and some of her bigger toys. The only thing I thought she would have by now but doesn't is TEETH. Trust me, I check every morning just to make sure. But that's ok....teeth are way overrated anyway. Emma continues to say mama but no other words yet. I think her favorite thing to do right now is ride in the little pink car at Nana and Papa's. She rides in it everytime she is there and smiles the whole time. I am so excited about swimming with Emma in the big pool this weekend for the first time. I think she will love it. She is such a water-baby. These past 9 months have been just so awesome. I love this amazing little girl so much. Now that Emma is mobile, I had a hard time getting a good picture. I will try for some more pictures this week. But for now, here are a couple of side profile ones.

Katie's 18th Birthday

Today we celebrated Katie's 18th Birthday! She has grown up to be such a beautiful young
woman. I'm so proud of her. Josh and I got to mom and dads house early so that Emma could go swimming. Cheyenne and Noah came to swim too. We then had dinner and cake. Crawling....Day 1

Today was the first full day that Emma has been crawling around. She has learned that she can get into everything that we've tried to keep her away from. The main thing being daddy's surround sound. She loves to go and press the buttons. She has also seemed to love the window. She loves to pull on the blinds and the little cords that hand down from it. She can also get to all her toys now. She took all her toys out of the box and she keeps them scattered around the floor. She is still very slow about getting places but she's doing a great job.All that crawling is exhausting!!

CRAWLING!!!!

Our little girl isn't so little anymore. Emma started crawling yesterday! Can you believe it?!?!?!? We all knew it was coming because she has been getting up on her knees for a while now but would only rock and then sit down. She is still slow and hesitant but I'm sure in the next day or two she will be all over the place. This past month has been full of milestones for Emma. She is crawling, pulling up, and also able to walk around holding on to things. I can't believe how fast she is growing up. *pictures and video coming soon*

YYYEEEEESSSSS!!!!!Sorry, I know alot of people like Adam Lambert...and I guess I like him too...but just got tired of his constant screaming. I really liked Kris Allen and I'm so glad that he won. The finale was awesome. I loved seeing the different artists singing with the Top 13. Can't wait till next January!!



Did you guys watch "Glee"? The first episode was Tuesday night after American Idol. I DVR'd it just to see what it was all about. I have to say, that I was pleasantly surprised. I really liked it. Too bad the season isn't starting till this fall. Tuesday night was just a little tease.

Hug A Little More

The past couple of nights at work have been really tough. It has made me feel so incredibly blessed to have such a healthy little girl. I hope that everyone will take the extra time today to tell your children how much you love them and hug them a little tighter.

She did this for the first time last night. She has learned to sit up by herself now and since she has been pulling up on things for a while, she has figured out that she can stand up in her crib. Josh and I will definitely be lowering it tonight!!

Katie's Prom

Last night Katie went to her Senior Prom with Joe. Katie looked so beautiful....Joe didn't look too bad either. :] I can't believe that my little sister is already going to Prom and will be graduating in 3 weeks. After taking 138 pictures[yes, that's crazy....I know], I think I got some really good ones. [and ofcourse, Emma had to make it in the pictures too]
