7 Months Old!

Emma is 7 months old today. She is growing up so fast. She has learned to do so many things too. She has such a fun personality and she loves to smile and laugh. She has blessed our lives more than we ever thought anyone could. We are so in love with her. We couldn't ask for a more amazing little girl.

Learning to Crawl

Today, Nana tried to teach Emma how to crawl. She will either push her butt up or push her body up......but not at the same time. She is trying really hard though. I'm sure she'll pick up on it soon. Pushing her butt up

New Ride

Yesterday, Josh and I went to pick up a new toy that I got off craigslist for Emma. It is a little ride on car that I can push her around on. I was looking for something small enough to keep at our house so that I could push her around this summer. It is Winnie the Pooh. It has a rail that goes around her that also can be removed for when she gets big enough to hold herself up good. It also has an attachment that goes under the wheels that can turn it into a rocker......kind of like a seasaw. It is so cute. She loved it. We went to my mom and dads house today and we tried to push her outside in it some but it was so windy so we let her rock in it in the house. "Look at me"She was so busy playing with all the things on the toy that she didn't care whether it rocked or not.Checking it out

Crackers

Emma still doesn't have any teeth yet. So up until now I've been giving her the little flavored puffs for a snack. She has learned to use her gums and chew on it. Today I decided to let her try a cracker. She LOVED it. She hasn't mastered holding the little puffs but she had no problem putting that big cracker in her mouth. I'm so glad we can start giving her different things to eat. It is fun to watch her learn.

Check-Up

Today I took Emma to the pediatrician for her 6 month checkup....even though she is basically 7 months old now. The doctor looked over Emma and said that she looked great. They also took all of her measurements and she got 3 shots. She did so amazing with her shots. She didn't cry at all. I gave her a toy to play with and once she got all the shots she kind of made a sad face and I gave her some motrin and then she was fine. She is such a trooper. Dr. Lowe also said that I could start giving her table food. Emma is becoming such a big girl. I can't believe how fast she is growing up.

Emma's Specs:

Weight: 19 lbs 0.5 oz
Length: 26 1/2 in.
Head: 45 cm.

Musical Jungle

Josh's mom and dad got this musical jungle for Emma for Christmas this past year. She used to just sit and look at it. Now she can hold the balls and play with the different things hanging. She loves to look at the lights too.

My Birthday!

Today was such a great day. First of all, we had beautiful weather. It was nice and sunny. Emma and I went shopping this morning together. I got her a few cute summer outfits and some new bath toys. Then we went out to lunch with Josh. When we got back, Josh and I did some things around the house that we've been putting off while Emma took a nap. For dinner, my wonderful husband got his parents to keep Emma and he made reservations at the Macaroni Grill. It has become one of my favorite restaurants. We had such a wonderful day and I couldn't ask for a better birthday.

Day with the Family

Today we went to my mom and dads house to spend the day with them. Tomorrow is my birthday and we were planning to go to dinner to celebrate also. We got to my parents house around lunch time. We played outside a little while before we went to dinner. Emma got to ride around in her little car and she also got swing. She loved being outside. Then the whole family plus my grandma Lucie went to dinner at Brick Oven.[only the most amazing restaurant ever] It was so yummy. When we got back home, Cheyenne and Emma played some more outside and then we had cake. I got some great things for my birthday. Josh got me Rock Band 2 for our xbox[it's so awesome...I love it] Autumn and Katie gave me some money to go shopping and my mom and dad got me some new Rainbow's. We had a great day with the family. The weather was beautiful and it was so nice to be able to get outside. I'm looking forward to many more days like this. Back to Normal...sort of

Emma has recovered from her little stomach bug and is kind of back to normal. She still has some diarrhea but that could last a few more days. She went a few days without eating much but now she wants to eat every 2 hours. I'm not supposed to start giving her baby food again until tomorrow and the formula just isn't keeping her full like it used to. Also, since she is just getting over this bug, she is still whiny. She is clingy and isn't back to her usual happy self yet. Hopefully she will be soon. She is sleeping a little more too. I think within a couple of days she will be just fine.

Poor Little Emma

Emma has been sick the past couple of days. It started Tuesday afternoon. She started having several poops. She had 5 between 3pm and bed time. Then Wednesday morning, she woke up with a temperature of 101.7. She slept most of the day yesterday and when she would wake up, she would cry. Also, we had a hard time feeding her yesterday. She took her bottle a couple of times but then the other times, she just looked at it. She also had a lot of diarrhea yesterday. [9 diapers total] This morning about 3:15 am she woke up with a temperature of 103.5. We gave her some motrin and then it came down to about 99.7. Well this morning she still had diarrhea with a little mucous[ TMI I know] so I took her to the pediatrician. She does have a a stomach bug but NO ear infections.[thank goodness] The doctor said that she didn't feel like she was contagious and that she woul be ok in a day or two. Since Emma isn't eating, she said to try and give her some formula in a syringe. If she doesn't take that, then it may be time for some IV fluids. Right now, its been about 7 hours since she has ate. She doesn't really have too much interest. Hopefully we will be able to get enough in her to atleast keep her hydrated. She should be good as new in a few days.

Bath Time

Here a few pics of Emma in the bath tub. She loves playing with the little ducky's.

Bikini Babe

When Josh and I found out that we were going to a girl, I told Josh that he better be prepared for tutu's and bikinis.Well Emma and I went shopping today and got her a couple of bathing suits. We are going to the beach the first weekend of April so if it is warm enough we plan on going and at least sitting on the beach so I thought I would go ahead and get her a bathing suit. She got her first bikini and also a one piece. She looks so darn cute!!

Little Ducky

I got this little ducky today for Emma. It is filled with water and when you hit it, the little fish move around. She really likes. At first, she wasn't too sure about it but once she saw the water and fish move, she played with it a lot more. It's a really nice toy for her to sit and play with. Her favorite part was playing with the ducks little foot

Playing Outside

Last night we went to my mom and dads house for a little cookout with the family. It was so pretty outside so Emma and Cheyenne got to get out of the house and play. Autumn brought one of Cheyenne's little cars for Emma to ride in. She LOVED it. I think her favorite part was eating the steering wheel. Cheyenne got to ride the little power wheels. She thinks she is "hot stuff" on that little car. She is too cute. I'm sure they are going to have so much fun playing together this summer.Emma loved to eat the steering wheel CheyenneCheyenne is holding up trafficCheyenne sharing her toys

Swingin at the Park

We have had beautiful sunny weather this weekend so we took Emma to the park this morning for the first time. She loved being in the swing. She is still a little small for it but I'm sure she'll be growing into it pretty quickly. We are so glad to finally be able to go outside and do some things with her. She loves being out in the sun.

New Shades

I got Emma two pairs of sunglasses. When she is in her car seat, the sun shines through the little window on the side and it is always in her face so I thought I would try some sunglasses on her. She does very good with them . She will leave them on and she doesn't grab at them or pull them off. She is so cute in them too. She has this pair in the pictures that are pink and green with little fish on the sides and also some pink ones that are in the shape of hearts around the eyes.
