::little betty crockers::

Emma got an Easy Bake Oven for Christmas from Nana and Papa. Once we were all feeling better we decided to get it out and give it a try. Emma made chocolate chip cookies and Ryleigh made red velvet cupcakes. The girls had so much fun. It required a lot of help from Josh and I but the girls did a good job mixing the batter.

Grayson-1 Month Old

Grayson, you are 1 month old!

This month has gone by so fast. Right now you are fighting off RSV but you are still so happy and such a good baby. We love you so much and can't wait to watch you grow.

Here is what you are up to at 1 month:

-You weigh 7 lbs 10 oz which is what you weighed when you were born. That is the 5th percentile.

-You are wearing newborn clothes and newborn diapers. I think you will probably be in those for a few more weeks.

-You are eating 6-7 bottles a day. You are currently eating 2 1/2 oz every 4 hours.

-You had your first bath at 2 weeks old and you hated it. But now that you've gotten used to it you actually like it, as long as I keep you warm.

-Since you were born you have been a great sleeper. This week wasn't too good because you've been sick but you usually only wake up once a night to eat. You will usually go about 5 hours at night before waking up to eat and you even made a 6 hour stretch one night. I can't complain at all.

-You are sleeping in our room right now. You sleep in your nap nanny and you love it. You haven't spit up hardly at all since you are elevated. I will probably move you out of it soon though so you can sleep flat in your crib when the time comes.

-You are doing really great in the car. You normally don't have any problems with your carseat and we are really grateful for that.

-You have smiled at us a few times. I haven't been able to catch in on camera yet but it is so cute. I can't wait to see more of it.

-You have the softest hair. You haven't lost any since birth either. Right now your eyes look like a stone grey color. I'm sure that will change over the next couple months though.

-You like sitting in your swing. You have recently noticed the mobile and lights on it and you will also stare at the ceiling fan.

-You celebrated your first holiday:Christmas! I am ashamed to say that I don't have many pictures of you on that day because you were sick and we didn't do a whole lot. But you got an awesome new playmat from Santa, a pony from Nana and Papa, and some new clothes from other people.

-Your big sisters love you so much. Emma is always asking to hold you or if she can see you. And Ryleigh is always trying to stick your paci in your mouth. I know they are going to love playing with you when you get bigger.

-You are mommy and daddy's little buddy. We love you so much and are so blessed to have you as our son.

::December::

-December has gone by so quickly. I guess that's what happens when you have a newborn.

-A week an a half after Grayson was born I had to go back to the hospital because my incision site was infected and had come back open a little bit. That was not fun but it eventually got taken care of.

-The first few weeks of December were spent hanging around the house and playing with new baby brother.

-The girls were not that excited about Grayson when he was born and came home but now they love him and are constantly in his face. They love to help me also. Their favorite thing to do is put his paci in for him.

-We also attended Josh's company Christmas party on December 19th. It was all the way in Clinton, NC so we had to travel a little over 2 1/2 hours to get there. He really wanted all the kids to go so we loaded everyone up and had a great time. This was the first time Grayson had traveled that far and he did great. He slept almost he whole time.

-About 2 weeks ago Ryleigh got a cold and a ear infection. I took her to the doctor for some antibiotics and hoped that they rest of the family wouldn't catch anything. Well, the whole family ended up getting it and Josh, Emma, and I are still getting over it. We were all sick for Christmas which put a huge damper on everything but it was still nice.

-On Christmas eve I noticed Grayson was coughing alot and sounded really congested. I called the doctor and they said to keep an eye on him. Then on Wednesday we took him and Emma to the doctor. Now Emma has the cold and also an ear infection. Once again, I was told to keep an eye on Grayson and to bring him back if anything changed. Well yesterday he got worse and so I took him back. He tested positive for RSV. I am very thankful though that it hasn't gone into his lungs because then we would be in the hospital. I am hoping this passes soon. I feel so helpless and I hate seeing him so sick. He is still being a great baby though.

The past few weeks have been rough with everyone getting sick but this past month has been the best. We are absolutely in love with our new little family member. I'll update more on him soon.
.

Meet Grayson!

Right after Grayson was born I was informed that I had run out of storage space on my blog. Because of that I took an unexpected break from blogging but now I'm going to play catch up. Starting with the baby Grayson.

So please meet our new little guy......

4 Year Check-Up

Today was Emma's 4 year check-up. We are about 3 months behind but at least we got it done! I was really dreading today because I knew she had to get shots but she did wonderful. I took her Tinkerbell band aids and she was really excited to have those there. Of course she cried for a minute and told me how much they hurt, but then she was fine. Because she did such a great job I treated her to Chick-fil-a for lunch.

Here are her 4 year stats:
Weight- 39 lbs-50th percentile
Height- 39 1/4"- 25th percentile
Blood Pressure- 92/64

She also passed her hearing and eye tests with flying colors.

This was taken after I told her about the shots. She was really nervous. :-/

39 Weeks!!

I can't believe this is my last weekly update. We will be having a baby tomorrow!!!!!

How far along? 39 Weeks! Only 1 day to go!

Size of Baby: Grayson is weighing in around 7 lbs and is about 19-22 inches long.

Maternity Clothes: Yep!

Weight: -26lbs

Gender: IT'S A BOY! Grayson Blake

Labor Signs: I've had a few little contractions but only when I've been on my feet a while and they quickly go away. Nothing significant yet.

Movement: At this point he isn't moving a whole lot. He sticks out some here and there but no big movements anymore.

Sleeping: I wish.....

What I Miss: My ankles, being able to get up off the floor easily, walking without waddling, etc.

What I am looking forward to: Wednesday! I went to my pre-op appointment this morning and saw a few babies being taken home and it made me so ready to meet this little fella.

Cravings/Aversions: Nothing lately...

Symptoms: heartburn, back pain, swollen ankles, carpal tunnel syndrome

Best Moment this Week: We had some really great moments this week. We had a great Thanksgiving. We had my moms side of the family over to our house Thursday night. Josh fried some turkeys and they were soooo good. I was so exhausted by the end of the day but it was so nice to have everyone over. We had a great time decorating our Christmas tree and my mom and dads tree. The girls are pros now. Last night we took the girls to Tanglewood-Festival of Lights and they were absolutely thrilled. They loved it so much and Emma has been begging to go back.

We will be taking the girls to my mom and dads house tomorrow night and then we have to be at the hospital at 6am on Wednesday morning. I can't wait to introduce you all to the newest member of the family.

I thought I would go ahead and show you all a few pictures of Grayson's nursery. It is still a work in progress. I have so many ideas that just haven't come together yet but it's a start.

We sold the girls white crib a while back and got this cherry one for Grayson. It is much more boyish and it is nice to have a new crib for him.

Here is a close up of the sheet. I got the sheet and crib skirt from Pottery Barn Kids. I didn't get the bumpers because they were really expensive and they would have to come out of the crib when he started rolling anyway. So I plan on getting a breatheable bumper when the time comes.
I love the little alligators though. They are my favorite part of the room.

The stroller and carseat are still in his room. We will be installing his carseat where Emma's is but we are waiting until we drop them off tomorrow night to install the seat. You can also see his really cute whale tub.

Here is his dresser. Katie gave this to us when she moved out of her apartment. It matches everything else perfectly. It still has a ton of room for little boy clothes.

And here is his swing and nap nanny. Waiting on a sweet little baby.

Our Christmas Tree

This past Friday night we put up our tree and let the girls decorate it. This year was so much easier and better than last year. They did such a great job taking turns and it really was so much fun. We also made some chocolate chip cookies that they got to enjoy afterwards. Christmas with children really is the best. I love seeing their faces light up every time we turn the lights on.

38 Weeks!

How far along? 38 Weeks! Only 8 days to go!

Size of Baby: Grayson is weighing in around 7 lbs and is about 19-22 inches long.

Maternity Clothes: Yep!

Weight: -29lbs

Gender: IT'S A BOY! Grayson Blake

Labor Signs: They can come anytime but I would rather him wait until our scheduled date next week!

Movement: He's just rolling around alot. Not too many kicks lately. He does stick his butt out alot. :0)

Sleeping: I'm actually beginning to think that I will be getting a little more sleep once he is here. I'm not sure how I could get any less at this point.

What I Miss: The only thing I'm starting to miss is standing up without my hips and back hurting.

What I am looking forward to: I am looking forward to so many things this week. First off, Thanksgiving on Thursday. It's our last holiday as a family of four. I am hosting dinner at my house again this year and I'm really excited to see everyone. On Friday we will be putting up our Christmas tree with the girls. I know they are really going to get into it this year. Saturday we are all going to my mom and dads house to decorate their tree. We have great memories of this growing up and I'm so glad that the girls are all old enough to get involved. Sunday we are going to Tanglewood-Festival of Lights. Monday is my pre-op appointment and Tuesday we are taking Emma for her 4 year check-up and also dropping the girls off to spend the night with Nana and Papa. We will be getting up around 5am Wednesday morning to head to the hospital. As you can see we have lots going on over the next week. But most of all I am looking forward to just spending this last week with my two girls. After Grayson comes things will not be the same so I'm cherishing every minute.

Cravings/Aversions: Not really eating a whole lot lately. I get hungry a lot but a few bites fills me up.

Symptoms: heartburn, back pain, swollen ankles, carpal tunnel syndrome

Best Moment this Week: The best moment this week was spending the afternoon shopping with Josh this past Saturday. My parents took the girls to Disney on Ice and Josh and I got some last minute things for Grayson. It was nice to just spend some time together. I also got Grayson's hospital bag packed!

I can't believe we will be meeting our son in 8 days!!!-----or less. :0)

This Week

What can I say about this week? My intention for this post was to sort of complain about how awful my girls have acted the past few days and tell you all how tired I am from only getting two or three hours of sleep every night, but after I thought about it....who really wants to read about all that? Yes, it's true that the girls and I are not getting along well right now, but I have a suspicion that it has a lot to do with the fact their daddy has been gone for a lot longer than they are used to. I'm hoping when he comes home tomorrow things will kind of go back to normal. So here are just a few pictures from the past few days.

Monday was a particularly long day so I decided to get the girls out of the house for a little dinner date. We went to Chick-fil-a, which we don't do hardly ever. You would have thought I was the best mom ever.

This morning the girls and I headed to the doctor for my 37 weeks checkup. It was sooooo cold here today that I got the girls dressed up in their sweaters and hats. Emma LOVED wearing this hat and demanded that I take her picture. She didn't take the hat off the whole time and I had to fight her to take it off once we got home.

Every Wednesday Emma has dance class. We drop her off and then go back in an hour to get her. I love that little hour that I have just me and Ryleigh. Sometimes we will go to a store and look around and sometimes I will get her a treat. Today I got her a tiny milkshake and we watched Dora in the car while we waited for Emma to get done. I realized today that the next time I drop Emma off at dance class I will have Ryleigh and Grayson. :0)

My girls are absolutely OBSESSED with puzzles!!! When I tell you that they will put together the same puzzle over and over all day long....I am not over exaggerating. Emma had a huge love for puzzles early on and it has grown. She is really good at them and can put one together in no time at all. I have recently got her some with a lot more pieces and she will do it really quickly. Ryleigh started loving puzzles several months ago. Of course at first she just kind of let Emma help her do most of it. Not anymore though. She gets her own puzzle and will put it together all by herself. This past Sunday at my moms house the girls were sitting at the table putting some puzzles together and my mom commented on how impressed she was that Ryleigh could put together the puzzles by herself. I am honestly more impressed that she is 2 1/2 and will sit for hours and do the puzzle until it is done. I can tell that Ryleigh and Emma are more interested in things such as puzzles, coloring, play-doh, etc. than they are with playing outside or playing games.

Josh comes home tomorrow and I couldn't be more excited. We have been able to FaceTime with him almost every day and the girls love that. I know they are ready for some real hugs and kisses though!

37 Weeks!

How far along? 37 Weeks! Only 2 weeks to go!

Size of Baby: Grayson is weighing in around 6.5 lbs and is about 19-22 inches long.

Maternity Clothes: Yep!

Weight: -29lbs

Gender: IT'S A BOY! Grayson Blake

Labor Signs: Hopefully not for a couple more weeks.

Movement: He's just rolling around alot. Not too many kicks lately. He does stick his butt out alot. :0)

Sleeping: Sleep?! Who has time to sleep when you have to roll over 22,000 times a night and get up to pee 15 times!

What I Miss: The only thing I'm starting to miss is standing up without my hips and back hurting.

What I am looking forward to: I am REALLY looking forward to Josh coming home on Thursday. I knew being 37 weeks pregnant and taking care of the girls would be exhausting but I didn't realize how much until this week. At least when Josh is here I have some help. I am also really looking forward to having the afternoon just him and I on Saturday! That doesn't happen very often so I want to take full advantage of it.

Cravings/Aversions: None really. I feel like I can never get full though.

Symptoms: heartburn, back pain, swollen ankles, carpal tunnel syndrome

Best Moment this Week: The best moment this week was getting all of little man's clothes washed and put away. I will probably start packing his hospital bag this coming week and I am trying really hard not to pack everything!

Starting last week, I am now going to the doctor every week. It is exhausting but now I know we are in the home stretch. Last Wednesday when I was at the doctor they did the Group B test which I haven't gotten the results back from yet and they also checked to see if I was dilated and I wasn't, which is really good. I spoke to my doctor about some problems I have been having and she said that I have carpal tunnel syndrome. It comes along in the last month or so of pregnancy for some people. It is caused by the swelling. It should go away once he is born and I'm praying that it does. That stuff is no joke!

I was so happy this morning to see this! I have this app on my phone and I try to only look at it once a week. It also gives me updates on how this little guy is growing.

Of course the countdown is only 2 weeks because our c-section will be done at 39 weeks instead of 40!

Randomness

This post will probably be all over the place but it's the easiest way to get up to date on what has been going on lately. Honestly, we have stayed home a lot over the past couple of weeks or so. It's mostly my fault because let's just face it, getting out isn't as easy as it used to be. Plus, there isn't much of anywhere we need to go. So we stay home and play a lot. We do a lot of puzzles and coloring around here. My girls are addicted to puzzles and Emma LOVES to color all day long. They are really into Play-doh now too. Here are just a few pictures from the past week or two.

Swinging at Nana and Papa's last Sunday.

This past weekend I spent taking the tags off all Grayson's clothes, blankets, burp cloths, etc. I got them all washed and put away. The cuteness of all these tiny clothes kills me. I still can't believe there will be a baby in the house in a little over 2 weeks!

The girls played hide and seek at mom and dads today. I can't even describe how much I love spending Sunday afternoons at my parents house. The girls love getting to play there with their cousins too. It's just so nice to have a day set aside that we all get together and spend family time.

My sweet Ry-bear.  This little girl makes me laugh all day long with everything that she is saying. She has the cutest way of yelling "mommmmmy" all over the house. Then it's usually followed with "where are yoooooou?!" She is just so sweet and I love the age that she is now.

And of course I had to include my little Emma. Emma is at the age where we aren't getting along very well. I don't know if it's the stage that she is in or that my patients are wearing a little thin these days but I'm hoping it won't stay around too long. She can be the sweetest child one minute and then the next she is giving the biggest attitude. I love her though. :)

This past Friday I picked up my nanny (my mom's mom) and took her to Salem Creek. Salem Creek is a beautiful store in Winston Salem and it is full of all kinds of decorative things and right now, some really awesome holiday stuff. They also have huge rooms full of Vera Bradley's. My nanny was looking for a new purse so I figured this was the perfect place. This is just one of the many walls of Vera's that they have. It doesn't even do it justice.

Josh has been out of town since Friday and won't be back until Thursday night so right now I am spending my nights getting ahead on my school work. School doesn't technically end until after Grayson's born but I already have all of my assignments so I am really trying to get them all done and then I won't have to worry about them when he gets here.

At my mom's house today we were discussing everything that was coming up in the next few weeks and it is completely overwhelming. This coming weekend my parents are taking Emma and Ryleigh to Disney on Ice and Josh and I are going out to get the last few things we need for Grayson. Then comes Thanksgiving, putting up our tree, helping decorate my mom and dads tree, Tanglewood-Festival of Lights, and then Grayson will be here. A few days after Grayson is born Emma will be participating in the Christmas Parade with her dance class. Josh and I won't be able to go but my mom and dad are going to take the girls and I know they will have a great time. Just thinking about all of that makes me a little crazy but I am just focusing on enjoying these last couple of weeks with my little girls.

36 Weeks!

How far along? 36 Weeks! Only 3 weeks to go!

Size of Baby: Grayson is weighing in around 6 lbs and is about 19-22 inches long.

Maternity Clothes: Yep!

Weight: -29lbs

Gender: IT'S A BOY! Grayson Blake

Labor Signs: Hopefully not for a few more weeks.

Movement: He's just rolling around alot. Not too many kicks lately. He does stick his butt out alot. :0)

Sleeping: Don't even wanna talk about it.

What I Miss: Nothing!

What I am looking forward to: I am just looking forward to spending the last few weeks with my family. We still have a few things to do to get ready for Grayson too.

Cravings/Aversions: We had a bonfire at my mom and dads last night and I we had smores. Now guess what I've wanted all day today?!?

Symptoms: heartburn, back pain, swollen ankles

Best Moment this Week: Best moment this week was taking the girls trick or treating. They really had a great time. I can't wait to take them all next year.

Halloween 2012

Emma and Ryleigh had a great Halloween this year. It's no secret that I do not like Halloween one bit but I love to dress them up and go trick or treating. I just don't like everything else that goes along with Halloween. Emma was very excited this year to pick her costume. She wanted to be Belle from Beauty and the Beast. I got lucky and found a cute Belle dress on sale at Target and also a crown to go with it. Ryleigh wore Emma's costume from last year. Emma also wore it the year before that so I've gotten 3 uses out of it! It's finally going retired now though. We only took the girls to my mom and dads church to do trunk or treat. They did wonderful. They said trick or treat to everyone and also said thank you each time. Since Halloween they have worn their costumes around the house most of the day. They are also loving all the extra candy. They only get 2 pieces a day(one after lunch and one after dinner) so it should last a little while. After we left the church we took them to see Josh's parents for a bit where they got even more candy. I can't wait to have three little ones to dress up next year!

35 Weeks!

How far along? 35 Weeks! Only 4 weeks to go!

Size of Baby: Grayson is weighing in around 5 1/2 lbs and is about 19-22 inches long.

Maternity Clothes: Yep!

Weight: Last time I weighed in at the doctor I was down 29 lbs.

Gender: IT'S A BOY! Grayson Blake

Labor Signs: Hopefully not for a few more weeks.

Movement: This baby boy moves ALL. THE. TIME! Grayson isn't really kicking much anymore. Because he is getting so big and running out of room he is just tends to roll around and stick his butt out a lot. Josh and I were laying in the bed the other night laughing at how lopsided by belly was because of Grayson's cute little butt sticking out on my left side.

Sleeping: About as good as can be expected. I can't really complain too much. I honestly feel like I am up all night though. As soon as I get into a deep sleep I either have to get up and pee or roll over and readjust.

What I Miss: Well, I do miss being able to sleep on my stomach comfortable. I am a tummy sleeper and it is really hard to find other comfortable positions.

What I am looking forward to: I am really looking forward to taking the girls trick or treating tomorrow night. This year Emma has chose her costume and she is so excited about it.

Cravings/Aversions: I had a huge craving for Krispy Kreme's this week and guess what? I got out of bed and drove all the way into town to get some. They were gone in about three days. Oops.

Symptoms: heartburn, back pain

Best Moment this Week: I was so excited this week when Babies R Us called me to tell me I had a gift waiting there. Apparently someone sent it to the store instead of my house so I had to go pick it up. When I got there I was so shocked that someone had bought the Nap Nanny I registered for. They are a little expensive and I knew that unless we received it as a gift then we wouldn't be purchasing it. I can't wait to use it though. I've heard nothing but great things about them.

I can't even tell you how excited I am to meet this little boy. And with all that excitement also comes a little bit of nervousness. I have been told on more than one occasion by a couple of different people (ahem....Josh and Katie) that I'm going to turn this little boy into a girl. I hope they are picking though. I just have to get used to what little boys do, what they play with, and what they wear. Someone was telling me the other day that there is a huge difference in having a little boy and a little girl...even when they are newborns. This is un-chartered territory for me. I am also really excited about the girls having a new baby brother. Emma is really started to understand that there is a baby coming. We were walking through Target today and she saw all of the Christmas decorations out. She immediately said, "mommy look at all that Christmas stuff, that's when the baby is coming." She knows that he is coming soon and I hope that she is just as excited when he actually gets here.

::Pumpkins::

*Scroll down to see my 34 week update!

On Sunday we took the girls to the pumpkin patch. We have been going to the same pumpkin patch since Emma was born. I really love taking them there because it is sort of a little tradition for us but I think next year we will try to go to one with a few activities and maybe a hayride or something. The girls had so much fun running around looking for the perfect pumpkin. Ryleigh isn't as quick as Emma so it was funny to try and watch her keep up. They both ended up picking out little pumpkin to paint and also a big pumpkin that we are going to carve either tonight or later this week. They are both really excited about trick or treating next week also.

And just for fun...here the girls are at the same pumpkin patch last year. Ryleigh is even wearing Emma's shirt!

34 Weeks!

How far along? 34 Weeks! Only 5 weeks to go!

Size of Baby: Grayson is weighing in around 4.9 lbs and is about 19-22 inches long.

Maternity Clothes: Yes. I still haven't gotten any new ones and I am in desperate need. I only have a couple of shirts that fit anymore and I need some capris or something for Fall.

Weight: Still hovering around -31lbs.

Gender: IT'S A BOY! Grayson Blake

Labor Signs: Hopefully not till November!

Movement: This baby boy moves ALL. THE. TIME!

Sleeping: Not good right now. I wake up more tired than when I go to bed. My back has really been hurting the past few days. It hurts so much sometimes that it is hard to walk and stand still. I never had this problem with either girls so I'm not sure if it is just pregnancy related or if it has something to do with the pain I was having a few weeks ago. Either way, at least I don't have that much longer. But it is making it really hard to sleep. Laying down actually makes my back hurt more.

What I Miss: Nothing!

What I am looking forward to: Hopefully getting the rest of the things we need for the baby soon. There are still several little items that we need. I always forget how much that little stuff adds up tough. Geez.

Cravings/Aversions: chocolate, cheese doodles, spaghetti

Symptons: heartburn, back pain

Best Moment this Week: The best moment this week was when Emma got to feel Grayson move. She has felt him a couple of times before but didn't really pay any attention. She was able to see and feel him move this time. She is fully convinced that there is a monkey in my belly. Then she got really upset that she didn't have a monkey in her belly too. I think she will understand about having a baby brother once he gets here. We have been talking about it with her for so long now that I think she is starting to wonder if he's ever coming.

I can't believe that my c-section is 5 weeks from tomorrow!!! I'm actually hoping that he doesn't come early. Thanksgiving is just a few days before my c-section and we have lots of plans for that weekend so hopefully he will stay put until then!

Almost Christmas Time

I can't believe we are only a couple of months away from Christmas! It has really snuck up on me this year. I am so excited to pick our Christmas cards this year because we will have sweet Grayson here. Because of his arrival at the end of November I don't know if I will have time to do a photo card and get them printed and sent out in time but I do plan on at least sending a card with all 5 family members included. So exciting!!

There is no doubt in my mind that I will be ordering my Christmas Cards from Tiny Prints! I have ordered so many things from Tiny Prints in the past and you can't beat their quality. They always make everything look great and are very professional. I have always received my order and in a very timely manner. I love Tiny Prints. Please go to their website to look at all the cute Christmas cards they have this year.

Tiny Prints offers so many different cards for Christmas time and also the Holidays. You will not be disappointed. You can also go check out their special offers page by clicking here.

33 Weeks! & Our Beach Trip

How far along? 33 Weeks!

Size of Baby: Grayson is weighing in around 4 1/2 lbs and is about 19 inches long.

Maternity Clothes: Yes

Weight: Still hovering around -31lbs.

Gender: IT'S A BOY! Grayson Blake

Labor Signs: Hopefully not till November!

Movement: This baby boy moves ALL. THE. TIME!

Sleeping: I've reached the point where I am up all night and roll over 20,000 times trying to get comfortable. Ah, the joys of pregnancy. :)

What I Miss: Nothing!

What I am looking forward to: Taking the girls to the pumpkin patch this weekend.

Cravings/Aversions: anything chocolate

Symptons: Still heartburn. ugghh

Best Moment this Week:Taking our last trip as a family of four! I can't believe the next time we go to the beach we will have a little baby.

Last Wednesday after Emma had dance class we headed down to Oak Island. This past weekend was the weekend where Josh's dad and all of his brothers get together. It's a yearly thing and we try to go when we can. We got to the house around 10:30 Wednesday night so that Josh could work Thursday and Friday. The girls did so well traveling that late. It was the first time we have ever really had them out that late on that long of a trip but it went very well and it turned out to be a great idea to leave that late. Thursday when Josh got done working we took the girls to the playground. It was a beautiful day and they really enjoyed running around. We took them to the South Harbor playground. It is right up the road from the chapel where we got married. I love this little playground because it has a great view of the water and a bunch of docked boats.

Friday night we went to Provisions for dinner. I LOVE me a Provisions cheeseburger. We only made it there a couple of times this year but you best believe I will be there a lot more next summer. Before dinner we walked out on a little pier with the girls. It is so beautiful there this time of year.

Saturday we made the trip to Carolina Beach to visit with all of Josh's aunts and uncles. We missed the ferry there so we ended up driving but we caught the ferry coming back. The girls really love riding the ferry. I didn't take any pictures that day. :(  But we had a really great time visiting with everyone. Sunday we packed up early and headed home. It was a really nice weekend away but its also nice to be home. We only have about 6 weeks left before this baby boy comes and I have so much to get done. I want to really enjoy these last weeks with Josh and my two little girls.

32 Weeks!

How far along? 32 Weeks!

Size of Baby: Grayson is weighing in around 4 lbs and is about 17 inches long.

Maternity Clothes: Yes

Weight: Still hovering around -31lbs.

Gender: IT'S A BOY! Grayson Blake

Labor Signs: Hopefully not till November!

Movement: This baby boy moves ALL. THE. TIME!

Sleeping: About as good as could be expected. Getting up 4-5 times a night is taking its toll on me but at least it's getting me ready for whats about to happen.

What I Miss: Nothing!

What I am looking forward to: Going to the beach tomorrow. It is our last trip as a family of 4. It's crazy to think that next time we will be packing up a little baby boy too. :)  I am also just really looking forward to the next several weeks. It is finally Fall here and the weather has been chilly which makes me really excited for Halloween and then Thanksgiving. Our c-section date is for the Wednesday after Thanksgiving so its just right around the corner.

Cravings/Aversions: m&m's

Symptons: Still heartburn. ugghh

Best Moment this Week: I had a few really great moments this past week. Saturday we took the girls to the Dixie Classic Fair and had a great time. All that walking made for a really tired mama but I got a funnel cake so that made it all worth it. Sunday was also my baby shower. My family did a really great job with everything and I was so happy that so many people were there to shower our sweet Grayson. He got lots of really cute gifts. Yesterday morning Katie, the girls, and I went to Babies R Us to use our giftcards that we got to purchase some of the smaller things that we still needed. We were able to get bottles, burp cloths, some blankets, etc. I am definitely starting to feel more ready for him to come but there are still a few more things that we need to get.

How far along? 31 Weeks!

Size of Baby: Grayson is weighing in around 3.3 lbs and is about 16 inches long.

Maternity Clothes: Yes

Weight: Still hovering around -31lbs.

Gender: IT'S A BOY! Grayson Blake

Labor Signs: Hopefully not till November!

Movement: This baby boy moves ALL. THE. TIME!

Sleeping: Not so good this past week. I think it is just because we have had so much going on this past week.

What I Miss: My patience and brain. I feel like with this pregnancy I am a lot less patient..especially with the girls and also I've completely lost my common sense. I think I'm starting to scare my husband. :0)

What I am looking forward to: Taking the girls to the fair this weekend, my baby shower on Sunday, our (maybe) beach trip next weekend

Cravings/Aversions: cookies, chicken tenders, chips and queso, japanese rice, peanut butter m&m's

Symptons: Still heartburn. ugghh

Worst Moment this Week: The worst moment this week was last Thursday morning. I got woken up from sleeping around 2:30am with extreme back pain and also pain in my stomach. It hurt so bad that I could hardly stand up. I waited until closer to 3am and I couldn't stand the pain so I woke Josh up and told him we needed to head to the hospital. I am so glad Katie is living here because we were able to take her the monitor and listen for the girls. We got to the hospital about 3:30 or so. The whole way there I honestly thought I might have been in labor but when they hooked me up to the fetal monitor I wasn't having contractions so that was great to hear. After they determined that the baby was fine I went to have an ultrasound done. They did an ultrasound of the placenta, baby, kidneys, liver, and gallbladder. I was told that I had gallstones(which I already knew) and that it was probably a gallbladder attack. I discovered that I had gall stones when I was pregnant with Emma and this pain was nothing like that so I'm not too sure I believe that. My nurse seems to think that I was having back spasms. Either way, the pain got a little bit better and they sent me home with a prescription for percoset. My back is still killing me but for now there isn't much anyone can do. The baby is fine so that's all that matters.

Best Moment this Week:We had so much going on this week. We got the crib and set it up last Friday night. It is perfect and I'm so excited. I also got my crib sheet and crib skirt. The nursery is coming together slowly but surely. Yesterday we also took a big step and got a new car. We knew as soon as we found out we were expecting again that we would need a new car. My SUV was a smaller SUV and only had 1 row of seating in the back. We couldn't make 3 carseats work there. They just wouldn't fit. So we were on the hunt for something with third row seating and also something that we could straight trade for and not put any money towards it. So we ended up with a Ford Expedition. It is basically the same car as my old one but just bigger. It has 3rd row seating, built in DVD, heated and cooled seats, sunroof. It's everything we need. We plan on keeping it a couple of years and then maybe looking for something a little newer with less miles. I only cried once by the way. I absolutely LOVED my Explorer but we had to have another car. There was just no way around it. Besides, this just means that our family is getting so big that we just couldn't all fit...which is exciting too.

I took one last picture of my Explorer...

I haven't gotten a new picture of the new car yet. It rained all day long yesterday. So I'll post that soon.
