royal wedding & lunch date

So who watched the Royal Wedding?? I did!! I planned on DVRing but since Ryleigh decided that she wasn't going to sleep very well, I was up at 4am watching it. I watched the whole 5 hours and I was so excited to see Will and Kate get married. I usually don't really get into that kind of thing too much but this is something that I will always remember seeing. I can't believe how big this wedding was, but it was beautiful.

Today me and the girls picked up my nanny and met Katie for lunch. It was so nice for us girls to get together and spend some quality time with my nanny. I don't see her as often as I like so it was nice to have lunch with her. We went to Ruby Tuesday and it was so good. Emma and Ryleigh did wonderful. They always do so great in restaurants which I'm very thankful for. My nanny also made me a blanket that is absolutely beautiful. I love being able to keep something that she has made and hope to pass it down to Emma or Ryleigh one day.
We got home a little late and I just put them down for their naps. I love naptime. It's so nice to have a little break everyday. Being a stay at home mom is tiring but it's also the best "job" ever.

our easter (just a little bit late)

I have been waiting to post my Easter pictures because I had a little problem with my computer and pictures. I took pictures Easter morning and then took them off my memory card so that it would be empty for when we went to my mom and dads house. We had a big easter egg hunt and also let the girls play in the sprinkler. Josh took about 200 pictures (he had some really CUTE ones too) and yesterday when I went to put the pictures on my laptop, something happened and it said it was reformatting and I lost all of my pictures off my memory card. I was soooo angry. So I'm waiting to see if Autumn got any of my girls so I can show you.

After the girls woke up we let them see their Easter baskets. They both got a couple of little things. Ever since Emma saw Cheyenne's little camera and fell in love with it, I knew I had to get her one. I've had this hid for several months now and I was so excited for her to get it. She hasn't let it out of her sight ever since. She puts it up to her face and says "CHEEEEEEEESE!" It's a really cool little digital camera for toddlers and someday I will get the pictures off and show you what she has taken pictures of. Ryleigh got a Little People Beach Cruiser car with some blocks in it and also a little book, although, she would have been just as happy with the plastic eggs. She played with eggs most of the morning.

After the girls got up from their nap, we went to my mom and dads. We let the girls find Easter eggs and then Autumn brought a sprinkler and we let Emma, Chey, and Hailey play in it. They had so much fun and I just wish I had some pictures. My nanny also came and had dinner with us. It was so great to spend some time with her. My mom also got a really cute bunny cake from Baskin Robbins to have after dinner. It was a great day and I loved spending time with my family.

Easter Eggs

This afternoon I dyed some Easter eggs with Emma. This was the first year that she has gotten to help and do some things herself. She loved putting the eggs into the color but her favorite part was when I let her put stickers on the eggs.

28

Today is my sweet husband's 28th Birthday. He worked until about 2 today and then came home to do a few things before his parents come over for dinner. When we found out we were moving to a house Josh was so excited that we would finally be able to have a grill. What man doesn't like to grill? So Josh's parents got him one for his birthday and he put it together today and he grilled chicken for dinner. We also had potato casserole and salad. Instead of birthday cake, Josh requested that we have homemade ice cream pie with chocolate sauce. It is his grandmother's recipe and I have only made it a few times. It takes all day to make because you keep having to freeze different layers, but it was totally worth it. It turned out really good and I'm happy Josh liked it. Emma wanted an ice cream cone instead so I fixed one for her and Ryleigh and they got to play outside with Josh's parents.

To my wonderful husband- I love you so much. I am so blessed to have such an amazing man by my side. Happy Birthday. I look forward to the many more birthdays we share together.

*sunday*

Yesterday was yet again, another busy day. Josh went to work at Iron Play in the morning and then met a couple over at the condo because they bought our washer/dryer and were coming to pick it up. After that he came home and when the girls got up from their naps I dropped them off at Josh's parents for a little bit while Josh and I met my mom and dad back at the condo to get the fridge, the desk, and some more stuff that was left. I didn't realize there was so much stuff that was left there from Friday night, but it was mostly odds and ends stuff. Josh and I got most of his desk set up last night after the girls went to bed and I still need to put away some things, but for the most part we're done.

My mom and dad stayed for dinner last night and we had grilled chicken sandwiches, tater tots, and broccoli and cheese. While I was cooking dinner my mom stayed outside with Emma on the back deck so she could play. Ryleigh got this cozy coupe for her birthday and Emma took it over. She loves riding around in it. I was able to take a few pictures.

After dinner I had a little treat for the girls. I got them some ice cream cones to have out on the back deck. This was Ryleigh's first ice cream cone and she devoured it. Emma ate a little bit but she was too busy playing. She loves being able to step outside and play. She threw a fit when we had to drag her inside to put on her PJ's. That was my favorite part of the day though....being able to go outside after dinner and hang out on the deck. We have never been able to do that as a family and it was definitely a real treat for us.

After Ryleigh ate her ice cream cone, I got her giggling so hard and Josh was able to snap a few pictures. She is so sweet.

It was another long but wonderful day. Josh and I are absolutely exhausted from this weekend but I'm so glad that the move is behind us and now we are just enjoying the everyday things. This house is a huge blessing for our family and I look forward to making some special memories here.

Home Sweet Home

We are finally moved in. Yesterday and today have been really long days and we are absolutely exhausted, but we are so glad to be settled in and home. Josh moved boxes all morning yesterday and got the keys and came to the house to unload them. I took the girls to Josh's parents around 1:00 and then Josh and I loaded the crib, toddler bed, our bed, and a lot of misc. stuff. I didn't realize how hard all that stuff was going to be carrying it down 3 flights of stairs. Around 6:00 my mom, dad, John and Connie all met Josh over at the condo and believe it or not, they loaded up everything else. I was shocked. Those boys came ready to work. We had everything moved into our house by 9:00. I think I did pretty well. I got very overwhelmed yesterday with all the boxes and I had a hard time going to sleep last night because I knew I had so much to do. But we were completely unpacked by mid-afternoon. Everything is where it is supposed to go and it feels so good. Both girls slept all night last night and it didn't seem to both them that they were in a new place. They also took 2 hour naps today, so I think they are good. :D It feels so weird to be in a new place. I keep opening up the wrong cabinets and drawers and we are getting use to our new "normal". We had a really bad storm come through today but I'm really looking forward to taking the girls outside to play soon. I know they are going to love being able to step outside. We haven't gotten our computer all set up yet because the desk isn't here but as soon as we do, I will post some pictures.

::ready to go::

Our plan was to move Saturday. My plan.....is ruined. :( We are supposed to get an inch of rain Saturday so we had to come up with Plan B. We get our keys tomorrow at 11 and Josh's parents are keeping the girls while Josh and I move a lot of our stuff. The first things we will move is the girls' beds and things. I want everything they need set up for them. Then I will go pick them up around 5:30 and let them eat dinner and go to sleep in their new rooms. My dad, mom, and John are coming when they get off work, and then we will move the rest of the stuff. I imagine it's going to be a looooong day tomorrow. I'm not looking forward to it at all. I'm already having a mild anxiety attack just thinking about it. But anyway, I think we have gotten just about everything packed up that we can.

Here is what our living room looks like.

The kitchen.

And the girls closet.

We really don't have a whole lot of stuff. I couldn't imagine packing up a big house. My gracious. I am so thankful to Katie's boyfriend Bradley. He brought us so many boxes from Bi-Rite(where he works). We didn't have to buy any, and that was HUGE blessing for us. So, thanks Bradley!!

Emma has been acting up a lot latey. She just hasn't been herself. I mentioned it to my mom and she said that it could possibly be from everything getting packed up and she knows that something is different. I don't know, but I'm hoping that we can figure it out soon.

Here are a couple of pictures of my sweet little girls.

Emma riding the seesaw.

Ryleigh's "new thing" is sticking out her tongue. Cutest. thing. EVER!

Cousins

This morning I kept Cheyenne and Hailey so that Autumn could take pictures at a daycare. Emma LOVES when they come over. She was saying their names all morning until they got here. Even though its a little hectic I'm glad they love playing together.

4 more days...

  • until we move into our new house. I am soooooo stressed about it too. I like having a plan and I like to be in control. And this makes me feel like I just don't know where anything is and I don't know where it's going. I have tried to be very good at labeling boxes with everything that is in them and I have a plan for Friday and Saturday. Whether or not my husband will follow it, is a different story. I'm just hoping for a smooth move and to get the boxes unpacked quickly. Maybe, just maybe, I won't have a nervous breakdown.

  • Since I will pretty much be home this rest of the week packing and getting things ready, I decided to go out this morning and invited Katie to go with us. We looked around a few stores and then went to Chick-fil-a where Emma got to see the cow and say "moooooo" a million times. It was fun though. I love getting to spend time with Katie since we don't see her nearly enough.

  • I am keeping Chey and Hailey tomorrow morning for Autumn. I will have them most of the morning and I have been trying to come up with some activities to keep them all occupied. Wish me luck!

  • Josh is STILL sick. It's been over a week since I last heard his normal voice. Somedays are better than others, but he still can't talk that great. He is really really frustrated at this point. I just hope it gets better SOON!!

I promise to have some pictures soon. I know all you all really want to see is my beautiful babies instead of reading a bunch of randomness. Soon....I promise.

Halfway Over

I'm so glad this week is halfway over. Only 2 days till the weekend? Can you tell I LOVE when the weekend comes around. The past couple of weeks haven't really been that great around here so I'm hoping this weekend we can get some things accomplished. I don't know whether the girls have had a cold or allergies but they just can't seem to get rid of it. No matter how many meds I give them, nothing is working. I decided to call the doctor today to see if there was something I could do about Ryleigh's allergies. She gets red splotches everywhere every time she goes outside so I need to figure out what to do to prevent this from happening. I mainly called to talk to the nurse about different options. Well, while I was on the phone with her Ryleigh was coughing and she said that she wanted her to come in and let the doctor come look at her. Even though I just took her last week I decided to go so I could atleast talk to a doctor about her allergies. We were lucky enough that her primary doctor(Dr. Lowe) could squeeze us in. She said that it could be that she has a viral infection and when she goes outside she gets those places on her skin because of the infection and the allergies. So for right now she has her on one dose of Zyrtec a day and she also prescribed some cream for her. During the appointment she checked her ears and said that her right ear was infected. I guess it just got infected from all the drainage.(Hailey had the same thing last week) Ryleigh has been super whiny lately and I feel bad that she was really hurting. But I'm hoping this will help and get her cleared up.

Emma on the other hand has been a pill the past few days. I don't know what has gotten into her. She has just not been listening at all and been very difficult. I know that it will pass but with Ryleigh not feeling good and myself not feeling very good, it's just been a rough week.

Josh is out of town tonight. He went to Myrtle Beach for work so it has just been me and the girls. Josh lost his voice last Saturday morning and it still hasn't come back all the way. He is so frustrated with it so I'm hoping that it will get better soon.

As you can see, it's just been a little rough around here lately. Now do you see why I can't wait till the weekend? Atleast then I have a little help. :)

When I said "I Do"

Wow, that was three years ago today. At this time 3 years ago I was at my wedding reception probably cutting the cake right about now. Some days it seems like just yesterday and other days I feel like we've been married forever. Our relationship is constantly growing and we are getting stronger everyday. I love my husband more than words could describe. He is the one who is there for me no matter what. He doesn't judge me, he just listens. I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful person to spend my life with. I look forward to what God has in store for us. We are getting ready to start a new chapter in our lives with moving to this new house. I know it will bring much happiness to our family and I really look forward to it.

Sweetheart,
Thank you so much for 3 wonderful years. I look forward to many more together. I am so greatful for everything you've given me and everything you do. I'm most thankful for our 2 beautiful girls. I love you so much. Happy Anniversary!

Our Weekend

This weekend was very low key for us, which is good because the next two weekends are going to really busy. Josh woke up Saturday morning with no voice. All he could do was whisper. It came back a little yesterday and this morning he can talk a little but not much. I know he is so frustrated so I'm hoping he will get better soon. Saturday, after the girls got up from their naps we went to Staples to get some bubble wrap. I am startingto pack up some stuff and now that I have some bubble wrap, I can get to work. It stresses me out even thinking about moving but I'll get through it. Ryleigh also wore her first skirt Saturday. I got it from Autumn and it fits her great and is soooooo cute.

Yesterday we were at my mom and dads like usual. It was so pretty outside and I was so happy the girls could finally get out and play.

My mom and dad got this cute seesaw for the girls.

Can't yall all see them driving around when they are 16?

Cheyenne brought her bike and Emma kind of took it over. She hasn't quite figured out how to peddle but she will soon once she is able to ride her bike at the new house. She LOVED wearing the helmet though. She wanted to wear it everywhere. I think she might get a new bike for her 3rd birthday. We'll just have to wait and see.

After dinner the girls had a popsicle outside. I'm sure there will be lots of popsicles eaten this summer.

Sister Love! :-)

I wish all these allergies would go away. Both girls STILL have runny noses. Ryleigh's nose has been bleeding lately because I'm having to wipe it and Emma's face is red under her nose and on her cheeks. Yesterday while we were outside, Josh had to take Ryleigh inside because her eyes were getting puffy and she was starting to get red spots all over her face and legs. Once I got her home, I gave her a bath so that I could get all the pollen and stuff off of her and then while I was getting her dressed most of her body was covered with red splotches. I guess she just has really bad allergies. So I will not being able to have her outside much until all this goes away. :(

Hope you all had a great weekend!
