Fall

Fall is definitely here and the weather that comes with it. We have finally hit cold temps and I love it! The leaves are still beautiful and it makes me think about all of the holidays coming up. I'm so excited to spend thanksgiving and Christmas with my family. We've had an in eventful week or so.
Last Friday I took Grayson for a haircut. Haley(a girl I went to school with) cuts it and does great with him. Grayson sits very still and let's her do what she needs to do. It seems like he is getting a haircut about every month or so.

After G's haircut we went to visit Miss Avery. She is a sweet little thing and Emma adores her.

Grayson's been eating a snack out of a snack cup for a month or two and he does pretty good with it but sometimes gets his hand stuck and just crawls around with the snack cup on his hand. Crazy kid.
We also apparently had pirates in our kitchen the other day and Emma was watching them through her telescope.

Yesterday I took the girls to the dentist. I absolutely LOVE the dentist office they go to. It's just for kids and they have so much for them to do. They have coloring, train tables, big screens playing Disney movies, princess dolls for them to hold, Nintendo DS's at every chair! And the staff is so good with them. They both did great and are cavity free!

We told the girls if they did good at the dentist then we would take them to the pumpkin patch when Josh got home. Well sometime between the time I got home from the dentist and when we got to the pumpkin patch the weather turned frigid and windy. We got to stay at the pumpkin patch long enough to quickly grab two pumpkins!

We've been in the go so much lately so today we are spending the day in our pj's.

:AMH:

Yesterday was an amazing day! I got a phone call around 3:30 am and it was my mom telling me that my baby sister, Katie had finally gone into labor...on her due date! I was so excited I couldn't hardly sleep the rest of the morning. Because Josh had to work, it wasn't feasible for me to go to the hospital before it was really time for the baby. It would be way too difficult trying to occupy the girls and also keep G happy.  So I got regular updates and paced all day long. Because Katie's husband is deployed right now my mom, my sister, and myself were in the delivery room. I got to the hospital just in time for Katie to start pushing. Katie did amazing and Avery was born at 7:17 last night. It was such an incredible thing to be a part of. I am so proud of Katie. I can't imagine bringing a baby into this world without my husband by my side and I know she is upset, but she is making the best of it. I love being able to see her as a mother now and she is already doing such a great job!

pumpkin painting.

Yesterday my sister, Katie, brought over some pumpkins for the girls to paint. I made a pot of chilli and we enjoyed spending the afternoon painting and hanging out. My girls thoroughly enjoyed putting layers upon layers of every single color of paint they could. Those pumpkins took forever to dry. They had so much fun though and have been carrying their little pumpkins around all day.

WILW!

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

1.

I'm loving that fall is finally here. The temperatures are starting to finally be cooler. The leaves are changing and there's a crispness in the air. Fall is my 2nd favorite season, my 1st is winter. I especially love that it's pumpkin bread time. (Starbucks has the best!)

2.
I love that I don't have to wait too much longer for my sweet new niece to arrive. I can't wait for new baby snuggles.

3.

I love love love Grey's Anatomy. We are on the 10th season right now and I've been watching since Day 1. Like any other show it has had its ups and downs but I love it and will always watch it.

4.
I love the theme I have chosen for Grayson's 1st birthday. I actually chose it about a month after he was born and I've been pinning ever since. We are now less than 2 months away(gasp!!) so I'm in full on party planning mode.  He is having a little man mustache bash. 😃

5.
I'm loving these Legos. Emma got them recently as a late birthday gift from her uncle and she loves them! She plays with them for hours every day. Josh and I love to play with them too so it's become a great thing for us to do to spend some time with the kids.

:Daisy::

A couple of weeks ago I signed Emma up for Girl Scouts. Emma is not really your average 5 year old. She is not that into playing outside a lot or even playing with toys. She will spend all day coloring, doing puzzles, or anything else that is "crafty." Because she doesn't really like to play outside a lot and also because she hates to be dirty, I knew that sports probably weren't going to interest her too much right now. However, I really wanted her to get involved in something and meet some new friends. Being homeschooled, she doesn't get a lot of interaction with children her age. That's where Girl Scouts come in. I knew that it would be perfect for her. She will have the opportunity to do lots of fun things and also meet new friends. Last week she had a meet and greet where she mostly just colored while I got a ton of papers to fill out. She had fun though and was so excited to a start.

This is Emma at the meet and greet.

Today was her very first meeting. We went to the girlscout shop this morning to get her vest and the "starter" patches and pins. She will earn other patches through the year as she completes certain things.

I dropped her off and she never looked back. She said she had lots of fun and can't wait to go back. I am so glad that she is involved in an organization like this. They have so many events planned already that sound so exciting and I'm looking forward to the whole family getting involved also.

Ryleigh wasn't too happy about not being able to stay with Emma so I took her for some froyo.

::G::10 Months

Grayson turned 10 months old last week. He's been in a pretty bad mood the past week or so, so that's why this is so late. He hasn't been in a picture taking mood. Here is what G has been up to this past month.

-at his checkup a few weeks ago he was 21 lbs 8 oz and 29 inches tall

-he is wearing 6-12 month clothes and size 4 diapers

- he has 4 bottles a day of 5 oz so a total of 20 oz per day

-G is also eating a meal at lunch and dinner with a couple of snacks during the day too. I am moving his schedule around soon and he will start 3 meals a day and only 3 bottles per day.

-he is still taking 3 naps a day. I am trying hard to get him down to 2 longer naps but he just isn't quite ready to give up that lunch time nap.

-he left top tooth started coming through a couple of days ago and the other one is starting to push out too  (the big reason for his bad mood lately)

-he is still standing some by himself and will slowly lower himself down to the ground. I'm trying really hard to work in walking but every time I try, he starts giggling

-he still sleeps 7pm-7am

-he has started crawling out of his little ducky bath tub so I will probably move him to the big bath tub soon

-he still sleeps with his paci

-G is definitely a very quick cruiser. he cruises around the coffee table constantly

-he is still a mama's boy. I love that he only wants me most of the time but it gets exhausting. especially since he is getting bigger.

-he is "talking" up a storm. he has mastered the w, d, and b sound for sure

-G is still a big fan of Mickey Mouse and now he loves Little Einsteins too

-he has the most contagious laugh.

 Grayson,
As we approach your 1st birthday, it makes my mama heart sad but also so happy. I adore watching you grow and become your own little person. I love you so much.

:picture update:

My lack of blogging is mostly because I spend my time homeschooling, taking care of 3 children and the house, and also spending time with my husband. By the end of the day all I want to do is be with Josh and finally sit down to relax. I really miss blogging. But I finally found an app that will let me blog from my phone and also add some pictures so I'm hoping that will help me do a better job at updating. So here are a bunch of pictures for ya....

Sweet G feet

G loves bath time and has recently decided he wants to climb out of his little ducky

I love watching these two. Ryleigh doesn't really like to be around Grayson all that much but Emma loves to hug and kiss on him

Big boy haircut

Emma joined girlscouts and is a Daisy!

Last week Emma has to be put under anesthesia to have her nose cauterized. She was having a lot of nose bleeds and since last week, she hasn't had any!
