Egg Hunt

This afternoon we went to my parents church for an Easter egg hunt. The girls had been so excited for days leading up to it. Unfortunately the first age group was 10 and under and my barely 3 year old got nearly every one of her eggs stolen from right in front of her but they both ended up with 5 eggs or so. They just can't keep up with those big kids. But they enjoyed it. It's supposed to rain tomorrow but hopefully it won't rain all day long and we can hide some eggs in the yard so that they can find lots of them. They are tucked in bed and now and very excited to see what the Easter bunny brings them. I'm pretty sure we are going to have some happy girls in the morning.

We will be going to my grandma's house for lunch and then back to my parents house to play and have dinner. It's going to be a busy but fun day.

Our Days

So I've been thinking about doing a "day in the life" post for a while but just never did it. But I think it would be neat to look back a few years from now and see how our days have changed. As the kids get older we are able to change things up and do more things. Here is what a typical day looks like for us.

6am-Grayson wakes up. I try to get him to go back to sleep until 7 but they usually doesn't work. He's awake and hungry! So I bring him to our bedroom and feed him his bottle while catching up one of my shows from the night before. Josh is usually getting ready for work during this time. Some days he leaves at 5   and some days he leaves at 7. Just depends on what is going on for him that particular day.

7-7:30- Emma and Ryleigh wake up. I will then fix their milk and they will start drinking that while I fix their breakfast. While they eat their breakfast Grayson will sit in his nap nanny and watch cartoons and I usually clean up the kitchen and unload the dishwasher.

8am-Grayson goes down for a 30-45 minute nap. The girls will sit down and watch some cartoons and then Emma usually starts coloring while Ryleigh works a puzzle.

9am-I feed Grayson his bottle

9:30-10:30- We play on the floor and Grayson rolls around. Emma colors all day long and Ryleigh kinda just plays with a lot of different things. This is also the time that I will go out if I need to. Yesterday we went to Target during this time.

10:30am-Nap time for Grayson. He will usually nap around 1 hr 15 min- 1 1/2 hrs.
During nap time I will usually take the girls in our room and we will watch a movie or something because it's easier to keep them quiet so Grayson can sleep. This is usually the time I will take a shower to and give the girls a bath if they need one.

12pm- Grayson wakes up and has another bottle. After he eats I fix the girls lunch and clean up some.

1:30-Grayson goes down for another nap.

3pm-Grayson wakes up and has another bottle.

4:30-Grayson takes a little catnap

5:30-Grayson has a bottle. I will usually feed him while Josh starts dinner.

6pm-We eat dinner and then I will clean up the kitchen while Josh plays with the girls and Grayson. After I clean up the kitchen I start getting everything ready for bed. I get Grayson's room ready and bring his bath tub into the kitchen.

7pm-I start Grayson's bath while Josh gets the girls ready for bed.

7:15-I'm finishing up Grayson's bath and the girls are in the bed. After I get G's pj's and sleep blanket on I feed him his last bottle and then put him in the bed. He is usually asleep by 7:45

The girls play in their Innotabs in the bed and usually fall asleep between 8:30-9.

After everyone is in the bed Josh and I have a chance to actually sit down and rest and usually watch a few shows. We've been trying to go to sleep between 9:30 and 10.

During the day I am always picking up the house and doing laundry. I try to do those things while Grayson is napping. We spend a lot of time coloring, painting, doing puzzles, etc. Once it warms up we will be able to go outside a lot. I can't wait!!

Right now my day revolves a lot around feeding Grayson and putting him down for his naps. As he gets older this will change al ot but for right now, this is our normal.

iPhone Pics

Yesterday Josh finally pulled all of my pictures off my phone. I ran out of room because of the almost 1,000 pictures that were on there. So now that they are all on the computer I thought I would upload some of my favorites. Get ready for picture overload.  :0)

First night of sleeping unswaddled.(and no, its not actually 84 degrees in his room, I promise!)

Emma thought Grayson might want to watch Doc McStuffins

::lately::

This past Saturday we had Ryleigh's birthday party. She requested an Ariel party so that's what we went with. I took her and Emma to Party City and she picked out everything. I love letting them get involved and help with their parties because I know they love it and are so proud of themselves. The party was great. We had some snacks, cupcakes, and opened a few presents. I didn't take as many pictures as I thought I did but here are a few.

About a week and a half ago G got sick. I think it was a stomach bug but he was projectile vomiting everything he ate. That was also the weekend that the time changed and since then he hasn't been sleeping very well. Now that he is over the sickness I noticed that he was fighting his swaddle at night. He was also wiggling out of it during the night and that isn't safe for him so I decided it was time to teach him to sleep without it. Last night was the first night and he did fairly well. I'm hoping tonight is even better.

Josh has been out of town since Sunday. He's working down at the beach right now and I'm extremely jealous. I want to go to the beach so bad and I'm hoping we can make that happen within the next couple of weeks.

My birthday is this Saturday. I'm savoring my last few days of 25. After Saturday I will be on the downward hill to 30.

Grayson has started staying awake a lot more during the day. He is usually awake about 2 hours between naps. During that time, he LOVES to play on his playmat and will usually last about 30 minutes before he wants to do something else.

He is getting so big!!  :(

Hope you all are having a great Tuesday!

Ryleigh Laine::3 Years

Today my sweet Ry bear turns 3 years old!! She is turning into such a beautiful, polite, sweet, and well mannered little girl. She is definitely a mama's girl and I love it.

At 3 years old, Ryleigh:

-LOVES Dora. She has lots of favorite shows including Bubble Guppies, Team Umizoomi, etc, but most of the time when you ask her what she wants to watch, it will most likely be Dora.

-walks into the room and says "Ni Hoa mommy." I think she watches a little too much Kai Lan.

-waves and blows kisses anytime she leaves someone.

-loves to do puzzles. She can put together a 100 piece puzzle in about 10 minutes.

-knows all of her letters and even the sounds of some of them. She sings the ABC song all the time.

-can count from 1-20

-is still short! I'm expecting a growth spurt soon. :)

-loves wearing her Hello Kitty gown. She will wear it every single day all day long if I let her.

-likes to dance. We usually have at least 1 dance party a day.

-is very shy around people.

-LOVES her aunt Autumn. Autumn has become her favorite person lately.

-loves to play outside, as long as she doesn't get dirty.

-doesn't really care for coloring.

-has decided she is too big to take a nap. :(  Some days she will take one but most of the time she doesn't.

-is potty trained! Finally!!!! I waited until after Grayson was born to potty train her and it worked out great because she was ready. I didn't want to push her. She only had one or two accidents. She wakes up dry every morning also so hopefully she will start sleeping in panties also.

-is left handed. (I believe) I would be surprised if she wasn't. She does everything left handed. She eats, colors, throws things, etc. with her left hand.

We love our little Ryleigh so much. She brings so much joy into our lives. We are so excited to watch her grow and turn into an amazing person. <3 p="">

Baby G::3 Months

Here we are again. 3 months old already! I say this all the time, but time really is flying by. Why does it always do that when you have a little one? It makes me so incredibly sad that he is growing up so fast but I LOVE watching him learn new things and explore. This post is a little late. I took pictures last week but the camera or computer messed up and I lost them so I had to take them again. But last Friday the stomach bug of 2013 hit and I am just now getting around to posting this.

Here is what baby G is up to now:

-I believe he weighs around 12 lbs now. We don't have a well check this month so this is just a guess.

-He is in 3 month clothes but I have had to get a couple of 6 month pj's because his toes were pushing the ends of his 3 month ones.

-Size 1 diaper but will probably be moving up to size 2's when I finish the box we are on now. We have a big box that was given to us at his baby shower and he is close enough so I'm going to go ahead and move him up.

-He is still on the same schedule that he has been on. He eats when he gets up around 6:30-7, then he eats at 9,12,3,5:30, and 8.

-He is eating about 4 1/2 oz of formula at every feeding now.

-He is taking around 4 naps a day. Usually 2 30-45 minute naps and 2 1-1 1/2 hr naps. He takes all of his naps in his crib now also.

-We start his bedtime routine at 7:30 and then he is usually asleep by 8:15. He loves his bath every night. It really calms him down and helps him sleep better.

-Speaking of sleep- He is now consistently sleeping through the night. He has been sleeping through the night since about 7 weeks old but he would sleep through the night a couple of nights and then wake up around 3am for a few nights. We have now dropped that 3am feeding and he is sleeping from 8:15pm-6:30am or so.

-G still sleeps swaddled in his miracle blanket and he used to love it and sometimes he still does. But I've noticed that he is starting to fight it some. I think his swaddling days are limited and I'm not looking forward to that. He is sleeping so well now that I don't want to mess that up.

-Grayson has been congested for over a month now. It is really bad at night time and the humidifier doesn't help a whole lot. We started him on Zantac a couple of weeks ago for reflux and the pediatrician said that reflux can cause congestion and to give it some time so I'm hoping it will clear up soon.

-He LOVES to chew on his hands and fingers. He is constantly drooling. Maybe we will have an early teether.

-He is still in love with his playmat. He will play for over 30 minutes at a time.

-He usually gets pretty fussy around 7pm every night because its so close to bedtime but we have learned that if we lay him on our bed he will watch cartoons or Baby Einstein and it makes him so happy.

-This month he also rolled over from his belly to his back. He is really close to rolling form his back to belly also. If he could just figure out what to do with that pesky arm.

Grayson has completely stole my heart. I love this little boy so much. He is such a happy baby and I couldn't be more in love with him. Love you so much sweet baby G.
