11 Months Old

I can't even put into words how amazing this little girl gets everyday. She has been such a blessing in our lives. Emma is learning new things everyday and it amazes me how fast she is becoming a little person. This past month I have really realized that she is slowly making the transition from baby to toddler. She has been doing a lot of walking. She can walk from place to place and she will even take some steps when she is standing in the middle of a room. She is just so close to walking full time. She is capable of walking but she just has to get a little more confidence so that she doesn't take a few steps and then drop and crawl. She's getting there though. I think she will be walking all over the place by her first birthday...but I guess only time will tell. Speaking of her first birthday.....I have been in party planning mode. I have ordered her invitations and I am just waiting for them to get here so I can send them out. I am so excited and I know it will be a really fun party. I have also learned that Emma has a LOVE for the Backyardigans. She will actually lay down and watch an entire 30 minute episode. I think the favorite is the Surfs Up episode. We like the Ho-Daddy-Ho song. :] Emma still only has her 2 bottom teeth but I'm sure there are more coming. They are just taking their sweet time. She is really starting to learn to use those two teeth. She has started eating a lot more solid foods and she seems to really enjoy it. She has been such a great little baby and we are so lucky to have her. Even though I am sad that she's not my "little" baby.....she will always be my little girl and I love seeing her grow up.

Emma's 1st Sleepover

Cheyenne is spending the night with us tonight while Autumn and William are in the hospital. Aunt Katie came over for an hour or so and helped me give them both a bath. Cheyenne has been great and she is in Emma's crib right now sleeping away! We are excited to go see Baby Hailey in the morning.

Welcome Hailey Danielle!

Hailey Danielle was born tonight at 9:03 pm. She was 7lbs 2 oz. Autumn and Hailey are doing great! We are going to visit them in the morning and I'll have lots of pictures.

Change of Dates!

Today, I went back to the doctors office for another ultrasound so that my doctor could come in and take a look at things. He said everything looked great. There isn't anything that concerns him right now. So he said that he'll just keep a good eye on things. However, they did change my due date. Instead of March 12th....the due date is March 16th. I only lost 4 days so nothing to drastic. But here is another pic of peanut.

Oh...by the way....Autumn's water broke a couple of hours ago so her and William are at the hospital. Baby Hailey will be joining us soon. Cheyenne is spending the night with me and we will go see them tomorrow morning. Happy Pushing Autumn!!!

Cupcakes!

Today Emma and I baked cupcakes together. Emma loves to watch the mixer but I think her favorite part was getting little tastes of icing. My grandma got me a big stand mixer for our wedding and I use it every chance I get. I absolutely LOVE it. I think everyone should have one.

Katie's New Job

My little sister Katie got a new job at Sagebrush in Kernersville as a waitress. Tonight was her 2nd night by herself so we all went to see her. She did a great job! She looked so darn cute too! and here is Emma wondering why her mama is taking a picture why she's trying to eat some dinner.....

1st Ultrasound

Yesterday I went to have my first ultrasound done. Everything looked great and we have a healthy little baby with a fluttering heartbeat. After the ultrasound I met with my doctor and we went over a few things. When he decided to do a c-section early for Emma, he had thought that there was a tear in the placenta or something wrong with it that he couldn't see. So we are doing another ultrasound on Monday so that he can come in and actually look at the screen and take a loser look at everything. He said it is nothing to be concerned about, he just wants to look for himself. Other than that, everything is great.

Birthday Ideas

Emma's first birthday is only a month and a half away and many of you have asked what you can get her. Well, Emma can't really pick out toys and to be honest, she will probably like anything you pick out. She isn't hard to please. I have made a list of some things that I am going to pick from to get her and if you would like some ideas, just ask me, and I'll send you a list of a few things. We are really looking forward to Emma's party. I can't believe she is turning 1 already!

The Big Nasty

Josh and I got some take out food from McCalisters Deli tonight and since Josh never likes to call and order anything, he always makes me do it. Well the sandwich Josh wanted was literally called "The Big Nasty". Needless to say, it took a lot of work for Josh and I to keep our composure as I ordered the food. I thought Josh was going to die laughing. I think that was the highlight of our night. :]

Family Reunion

Today we had our annual family reunion at my Grandma Lucie's house. There were a lot of people but not as many as we usually have. It was still nice to see everyone and enjoy some good food. Thanks for the tator tot casserole grandma...it was sooooo yummy. Emma did really well. She enjoyed some peaches, potato casserole, boiled potatoes, and even some chocolate delight. After leaving grandmas house, we went to my mom and dads to swim for a little bit. We had such a great day but are really exhausted!

6 Weeks

So we are 6 weeks along today. Not very far, but each week gets us closer. This week has been pretty good. I haven't gotten sick yet....but I'm just waiting for it. With Emma, I got sick during my sixth week and it lasted until I was 26 weeks so we'll see. The only real "pregnancy" things I'm going through right now is peeing and food cravings. For the last day or two, all I've wanted is some Japanese rice, chicken, and soup, Mexican cheese dip, homemade chips from Brick Oven, and cheese fries from Rock Ola. Doesn't that sound so good. Maybe I'll get atleast one of them this weekend. [sticking out my bottom lip for Josh:] ] Two different things happened at work this week. A good friend of mine was 12..almost 13 weeks pregnant and lost her baby. So this week was filled with joy yet sadness for me all at the same time. Please pray for her as she goes throught this tough time. I hope and pray that I never have to be in her shoes. On a happier note, I found out last night that a girl I work with is pregnant and is due 3 days before me. I swear, I think something is in the water in the NICU. We now have 7 girls pregnant. That's crazy! I go to the doctor next Thursday for an ultrasound and I'm really excited to see this little peanut....and ofcourse the little heartbeat that will put my mind to ease a little bit. One thing I'm really excited about is that Josh and I have already picked names....well actually, we have had a boy name picked out for years. The girl name was sorta picked out while I was pregnant with Emma. We are still working on middle names but we have plenty of time. But atleast picking out names is one less thing we need to do. I am really looking forward to the weekend and having time to relax a little bit....and ofcourse, the Family Reunion on Sunday. I enjoy seeing everyone and ofcourse...maybe a little Tator Tot Casserole....yummm.
