G-2 Months

Our little baby G is two months old today. He  is really a baby now and not a newborn.  It breaks my heart that it is going by so fast but we are having so much fun watching him grow into his own personality.  Here is what he's been up to:

-I think he is around 9 1/2 lbs. We will find out for sure at his check up next week.

-He moved up to 0-3 month clothes around 6 weeks old and he also is in a size 1 diaper now.

-He is eating 4 oz every 3 hours or so.

-He is still taking lots of naps every day. He will usually stay up for about 1/2-2 hours before going back to sleep.

-He loves to lay on his playmat and will sometimes hit the little toys.

-He has started smiling alot, especially when we talk to him.

-He is still doing great in the car. He usually falls right to sleep and will usually sleep the whole time we are out somewhere.

-He still loves his paci.

-He got to see his first snow a week ago.

-I don't think he has gotten anymore hair but he hasn't lost any either. His eyes are still a dark stone grey color.

This month he also moved into his crib at night. Around 5 weeks old I decided it was time to move him. It was best for all us and we are all sleeping better. He stays in his crib all night and usually only wakes up once to eat. Once he wakes up I can usually feed him and have him back in the bed in about 20-30 minutes.

-Nap time is a little harder. He sleeps like a champ if someone is holding him or if he is in his carseat or swing. But if he is in his crib I can only get about 45 minutes out of him before he wakes up. I haven't quite figured out why but we are working on it.

-He LOVES bath time. He gets a little fussy close to bed time but as soon as I put him in the bath water he is happy.

-While pregnant with Grayson I came across a book/website that was highly recommended. I got the book and read it and it really made a lot of sense to me. I have never been one for a tight schedule especially when it comes to babies, but its just more of a guideline that I go by. If he eats 30 minutes later one day, no big deal. But I think that this schedule is a big reason why he sleeps so well at night and why he is a pretty happy/content baby.

Here is what his day looks like right now.

He eats at 7am,9am,12pm,3pm,5:30pm, and 8 pm. He starts getting his bath around 7:30 and then drinks his last bottle and then goes to bed. He will usually wake up anywhere from 2-4am and then go back down until 6:30-7am.

He really loves his swing and will take some great naps in there.

This month he moved from the newborn swaddle to the Miracle Blanket. He LOVES that thing and he sleeps so much better with it now.

Grayson,
I can't believe you have already been with us two months. I am enjoying being your mommy so much and I love spending everyday with you. All the new things you are doing is so exciting.  I love watching you develop into this sweet little person. I love you so much and am looking forward to month #3.

Love, Mommy
